Terms of Service
Last updated 11 October 2026.
The short version
Kodo is provided by 123teq LLC. There is a free plan and a paid plan, Kodo Keep. Cancel any time — codes you have already made keep redirecting either way. Don't use Kodo to harm people, and understand that it is provided as-is. The details follow.
The service
Kodo generates QR codes. Static codes are created entirely in your browser. Dynamic codes redirect through our servers so you can edit their destination and see scan analytics. Creating dynamic codes requires an account.
Plans and payment
Free. Unlimited static codes, a limited number of dynamic codes, and a monthly allowance of tracked scans per code. No card needed.
Kodo Keep is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly in advance at the price shown when you subscribe. It raises the number of dynamic codes you can create and the tracked scans per code. Current limits for each plan are shown on your dashboard. Prices do not include any sales tax or VAT that may apply. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Renewal and cancellation. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard (“Manage billing”); you keep Kodo Keep until the end of the period you have paid for, and are not charged again. We do not give refunds for partial periods, except where the law requires it.
What happens to your codes. Limits only ever restrict creating new codes and tracking scans. If you cancel, a payment fails, or a code goes past its monthly tracked-scan allowance, every code you have already made keeps redirecting. Scans past the allowance are counted but not broken down in your analytics. You will not be able to create more dynamic codes than your plan allows.
Price changes. If we change the price of Kodo Keep we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription, so you can cancel first if you prefer.
Acceptable use
You may not use Kodo to link to or distribute:
- malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive or defraud the person scanning;
- content that is illegal where you or we operate;
- spam at a scale that degrades the service for others.
We may disable individual codes, or accounts, that violate this — including the redirects of codes already printed. This is the one case in which a printed code stops working, and we would rather never use it.
Your codes and your data
Your codes and their settings are yours. You can edit or delete them, and export your data, at any time from the dashboard. What we store and how we handle it is in the privacy policy.
No warranty
Kodo is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. We work to keep redirects fast and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses arising from downtime, errors, or a code that fails to redirect. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim (nothing, if you are on the free plan).
Changes
We may change these terms; if we do so materially, we will update the date above, and tell paying customers by email before the change applies to them.
